Anthony F. Chiffolo
Life takes strange
twists and turns. My childhood was spent in the rural community of East Schodack, NY, across the Hudson River from Albany. After graduating from
the U.S. Naval
Academy in Annapolis, Maryland,
I served on active duty
in
naval aviation for seven years, then served additional years in the
Naval Reserve Afterward, I began my publishing career, first with the
Naval Institute Press, then with Liguoir publications, Fordham
University Press, and now Praeger Publishers. I published my first book
in 1997, and I continue to have a great interest in the mystical lives
of the saints. In addition to writing, I am a published nature
photographer — I definitely find my connection to God in the beauty and
variety of the natural world.
Editorial Director of
Praeger Publishers, is the author of 100 Names of Mary: Stories and
Prayers, Advent and Christmas Wisdom with Padre Pio, Advent and
Christmas with the Saints, and Be Mindful of Us: Prayers to the
Saints, as well as the compiler/editor of Padre Pio: In My Own
Words, Pope John Paul II: In My Own Words, Pope John XXIII: In My Own
Words, and At Prayer with the Saints.
Rev. Dr. Rayner W. Hesse, Jr. is
a graduate of both Union Theological Seminary and The General
Theological Seminary
in New York. Most recently, he completed his
doctoral work
(D. Min.) in liturgy and philosophy of religion at New
York Theological Seminary. An accomplished
chef and biblical scholar,
Fr. Hesse is an ordained Episcopal priest serving a parish in New
Rochelle, N.Y.
In addition to

Chiffolo and Hesse are also co-authors of We Thank You, God, For
These: Blessings and Prayers for Family Pets.
