The Road Home by Bob HerholdBob is a retired ELCA pastor, an award winning journalist, author, and playwright. Bob has written a book called, The Road Home, Courage and Faith for the Final Journey. The Road Home is about people who have experienced many of the same things the rest of us have, or will soon experience. What can we do to make every moment count?

Pastor Marty asked him what encourages him the most when he has difficult days. “I draw my strength from other people,” said Pastor Herhold. “God’s word comes to me clearer through other people now, because I’m a better listener. In response to the question, “What is the blessing of aging,” Herhold replied, “I don’t think I’m wiser, but I think I accept the fact that I won’t know some things – I won’t know what heaven is like, I just know what God is like right now and I only get a little glimpse of that as God’s grace comes like a burst of sun through the clouds.”
