Ken Beckmann
is the owner of Beckmann Violin shop in Mission, Kansas. a craftsman and
an award-winning violin maker. While he does intricate repair work to
these precious instruments, his love is to choose special wood - maple
from Europe, spruce from Italy or British Columbia, or from special
trees in Bosnia or the German Alps, and carve, gently creating an
instrument for the ages. His love of music, his love of the church, and
his love of his craft join in making a scared kind of moment and feeling
as he works with the wood. |
